Tantus Anaconda Review

Tantus Anaconda Review

Overall I enjoyed the Anaconda, though I think it may be a little too girthy for my normal taste. The only real complaint I have with it is that, because the shaft is more of a matte finish, there is a lot of extra drag on top of the inhereint drag of silicone. Other than that, this was a good dildo, Nothing too spectacular, but still good.

The Tantus Anaconda is almost like your run of the mill dildo, with one exception: it has a handle. the handle is not just good for thrusting but in addition to the dildos total length it makes for great riding where you prop the Anaconda on the floor.

Tantus Anaconda Review

Rating

Rating: Three and a half out of Five

Pros

  • Perfect amount of firmness and give
  • 100% Silicone

Cons

  • Might be too girthy for some
  • The matte texture of the shaft causes additional drag in addition to the normal drag of silicone

Material / Texture

Tantus Anaconda - Head/ShaftAs you can expect from all Tantus toys, the Anaconda is made out of “100% Ultra-Premium Platinum Silicone,” which makes it completely hypoallergenic, body safe, odorless, tasteless, and phthalate free.

I found the texture of the Anaconda to be very interesting. The head of of the dildo is smooth, like most other dildos I have come across. The shaft on the other hand is more matte. Although this is new to me, after looking it to it a little more, Tantus seems to have a few dildos with this sort of texture. Due to this matte finish on the shaft of the dildo, you are going to want to make sure you have some lube on hand as the drag of the silicone is magnified with this texture. The handle is textured in the same matte finish of the majority of the shaft, but in this case the texture is actually a benefit. The matte finish makes the handle easier to grip without slipping when you have lube on your hands.

The matte finish of the shaft is not the only texture that the Anaconda provides. There are a few veins that run down the length of the shaft, and just below the head of the dildo there are a few creases. In addition, there is a bump that runs then length of the shaft starting just below the head of the toy. Personally, I didn’t think that these texture additions really added anything to this toy other than to give it a more realistic look. Maybe if you are more sensitive to textures you will enjoy them, but I personally couldn’t even feel them during use.

Design / Shape / Size

Tantus Anaconda - Handle
The Anaconda is a realistic dildo with a defined head and some minimal veins. The design aspect of this dildo that sets it apart from others is the fact that it has a handle. The handle is features three ribs for your fingers to sit nicely in between. The base of the handle is flared just enough that your hand will not slip off the end while holding the handle and thrusting. The flared base of the handle also makes this toy usable in a riding capacity, allowing you to pace the base on the floor while you ride the dildo.

Measurements
Length 11 1/2″
Insertable 7″
Circumference 5 3/4″
Diameter 1 3/4″
Weight 15.5 oz

As far as measurements are concerned, the Anaconda is a pretty big toy in almost all aspects. Its total length is about 11 1/2″ with an insertable length of around 7″ inches and weighs in at 15.5 oz. This dildo is also pretty girthy with a circumference of 5 3/4″ and a diameter of 1 3/4″.

Performance

I was worried that the handle would be too flexible when I first opened this dildo up, and it really is flexible. I was surprised, however, at how stable it was when I rode the dildo. The flexibility did not cause any problem. When you hold the Anaconda by the shaft and shake it, the handle wiggles around like mad, but in use its flexibility does not become and issue. There is just enough give in the handle to allow you to bend it so that it is comfortable to hold, but not so much that you cannot thrust firmly.

Care and Maintenance

Like all other pure silicone toys, the Anaconda can be cleaned in any of the following ways:

  • Boil it in water for 3 minutes
  • Place it on the top rack of a dishwasher
  • Use silicone safe toy cleaners/wipes
  • Hand wash with a mild disinfecting soap

Storing the Anaconda might be a little more tricky then storing some of your other dildos due to it’s size. This dildo is pretty long, so if you have a box that fits all your 8 inch dildos perfectly, the Anaconda will not be able to join in that party. Like any of your other silicone toys, however, you will need to make sure that while storing this dildo you keep it out of contact with other silicone items. I am currently storing the Anaconda in the packaging it came in as it does not take up much more space than storing the dildo in a big zip lock.

Packaging

Tantus Anaconda PackagingJust like all of the other Tantus toys I have come across, the Anaconda came in a clear plastic box. Since the box is completely see through, it was obviously not meant to be discreet packaging. Once removed from the outer plastic box, the Anaconda itself is stored within a clear clamshell plastic casing.

No where on the packaging itself does it tell you the name of the item within. You can, however, find the name of the item on a stick with the UPC. Normally not knowing or being able to tell right away what the name of an item is would upset me, but I find the lack of an obvious name shout out completely forgivable due to the fact that the packaging contains useful information about what ALL Tantus toys are made of as well as other useful info for all of their products.

Notes

I do not think that this dildo was designed for anal use, but I think that due to its length one would probably be safe in using it as an anal toy as long as you were careful. I do not, however recommend using it anally, as it does not have a flared base that is any wider than the width of the shaft.

As with any other silicone toy, be sure to use silicone safe lubricants while playing with the Anaconda

Thanks so much to Tabu Toys for providing me with the Anaconda for review! Be sure to visit their site to find this as well as other vibrators, dildos and oral sex toys.

  • I think this toy sounds a bit too girthy for our tastes, but I very much approve of toys with handles. Seriously, why is this so rare?

Very true! I always need a pretty good warm up (and particularly generous amount of lube) before comfortably managing mine. My first attempt with it left me feeling quite delicate as I hadn’t anticipated the finish feeling so textured.

I’ve noticed this finish on a few of my newer Tantus toys like the Raptor and T-Rex too.
